Semester in Review

Wow that was one of the quickest terms I’ve had. It seems like it was last week we had a last assessment for MPI104 and I had to tick some little boxes to see if I had done everything required for assessment #1. Over the semester I have learnt a lot of handy tricks such as posting a link to websites. I believe these links gives the page some authenticity, as the readers are able to click on the key word and like magic there at a new page. In the olden days I would have just copied and pasted the web address, this was tacky. Therefore to sum up so far learning all about HTML have been fun and worthwhile and I’m sure there is more to learn about them.

So I will start on my blog. I have tried to update it as often as possible but I found this difficult as like many uni student these days, the end of a semester is extremely busy but I feel I am pleased with the quantity of blogs I have published. Okay so no I’ll get into the nitty gritty of my blog. Okay I have played with the template and style a bit. I was going to put a Sydney Swans background as my template but discovered the colour scheme would not be appropriate and make my blog difficult to read. I also decided I did not want pictures in the background as I was looking at other blogs in the class and felt that the blogs with picture detracted the words in a sense. Therefore I decided on a different approach to give my blog a fresh new look. I found a colour wheel and a page on colour schemes on the net. Very useful. Researching colour schemes I was able to get an understanding of the appropriate colours to use for my template. I had a green template and felt using dark purple, blue and a light blue on occasions was the correct colour scheme I was after. I was talking about the colour wheel for a reason because I was able to choose a specific colour and shade I was after to insert in my blog, as I felt the colour options that blogger offered were pretty standard, and simply I wanted more. To spice my blogs up I tried to insert pictures as often as possible to give readers a visual understanding of what I was writing about. Too much text can be boring. The blog I’m most happy with it Making my page look top. On some blogs I even went as far as placing a video on it so the readers are able to see in greater depth what I have writing about. The Departed.

Okay that’s enough about my blog, Flickr was one of my greatest challenges as I felt I didn’t have enough adequate picture to upload to my account. I found I had severe technical issues when uploading some of my images. Some photos were did not upload correctly, …… and a picture in picture effect was created. For some reason Flickr decided to import a smaller version of the image in the top left corner. I tried to fix this in many ways and spent hours on getting one full image uploaded, as I just wanted the image to look normal. I found this only occurred on specific photos. The photos I tried to import were originally from the internet and maybe there was a copyright over them, but they were only my friends my space photo and I know she didn’t copyright them. Anyway so I decided to keep the photos there to highlight my difficulties with uploading but others photos couldn’t even upload for apparently the format was incorrect even though I triple checked the format and it was all correct. What was going on? I tried to upload these images but my computer just wouldn’t accept them. I decided to try another computer, a better one and finally I was able to upload snapshots of aesthetically pleasing website. Was I relieved or what. I found that the technorati top 100 sites didn’t interest me and I felt that the ones I checked out weren’t aesthetically pleasing so I moved on to band webpag+es as I know they always have funky sites. For the assessment I was required to upload 30+ images and I decided to turn to my past and upload images of me when I was young. It was fun to do this as I was able to track down memory lane for a bit as I remember my first day of school, skiing, when I got my cats. I shared these photos with everyone so they too will be reminded of their past and hopefully have a little smile on their face ☺. Organising my flickr was pretty easy in the end I created 3 sets, swans game, family and friends and miscellaneous. These sets enabled me to navigate my way through my photos effectively as too the tags.

My Del.ici.ous was hard to get into, by that I mean I couldn’t really get excited about the site. Generally I use my little laptop and save all my bookmarks under safari. However saving bookmarks under Safari only enables me to access the bookmarks whereas Del.ici.ious allows me to share my bookmarks and discover new sites for myself. For example I found an awesome game for an equally as awesome television show, Robin Hood. Not only could I access new sites I would have never found I was also able to send sites to people so they could check the sites out that I found interesting. Really I should learn to appreciate Del.ici.ious more. Bundling my bookmarks makes finding relevant bookmarks much more easier, I don’t really want to go through pages and pages of bookmarks to find something that may interest me. This is why I love those bundles. The internet is all about making research accessible and Del.ici.ious follows through with this belief by the wonder of bundling and tags.

So now you know what happened this semester and what I have created online. I’ve had some good times and I will continue to uses these pages and skills well after MPI104 ceases in the coming weeks for me.

Counter

Last term I put a basic counter on my blog that only told me how many people had accessed my blog. This was all the information it had and when Jo gave us a different counter option I jumped at the option. A counter is not only good to have to boost your ego as you always try to compete with your friends about who has the most hits, similar to technorati, but you can also see what you can improve on your site. So recently I decided to use Sitemeter as a counter system. Since I only joined recently Sitemeter hasn’t been able to get a steady recording about my visitors, but when I was checking out other peoples sitemeter, (what can I say I was curious) I discover it can give more detailed than I first imagined. You can conclude many things from the Sitemeer figures:
a) If they hit your site but do not stay it is either poor in content or form and is not worth staying more than two minutes for. Therefore you need improve on both these two to increase the likelihood of visitors staying on your blog.
b) If you have no recent hits in the past week you can get an idea on your content may be out of date and visitors don’t find anything relevant. Therefore updating your page, or in my case my blog, is important to get constant hits.
I have noticed other sites have only had visitors say very quickly, under 2 minutes. That could be depressing but I suppose many people are browsing the internet and search until something of interest capture their eye. This is one of the reasons the aesthetics of the website is so integral. Before I joined Sitemeter I did have a 123 visitors to my blog which I was pleased with but the counter did not offer me nearly as much information as the lovely Site meter.

Making a Templates - was it successful?

Recently I have been playing with my blog template. Initially I wanted to design one so I created a Sydney Swans template with the greatest player as the feature, who else but Tadhg Kennelly. For those of you who don’t know Tadhg he is an Irish man who plays for the swans, he is a backman that is one of the most important players for the swans. I defy anyone who thinks differently. Click here to see my template. Anyone I created a template when watching television one night. It was easy enough to do in front of the box. So I began by importing photos in to photoshop, the swans logo, Tadhg and any other swans photos that I wanted. So I had made my page but struggled to place it as my template. I then realized I had done things incorrectly so I couldn’t use it as a new template. This was a good thing as if I’m honest it wouldn’t have been aesthetically pleasing and legible with a background with red and white. For example what colour scheme will I use to write my blogs in, black is an obvious choice, but did I want to use black? Any way I had fun designing it, which is the most important thing, right? And I refreshed myself with photoshop which I haven’t played with for awhile. My efforts weren’t completely useless with a bit of refining I know have an awesome desktop picture. However lets not think I haven’t altered my templates I found some changed the colour scheme a bit and changes the setup of the blog. It was good to change my blog again so I can look at it again and not feel as though I’ve seen it before, hopefully it will have the same effect on others. I can check this out on my sitemeter.

A Little Bit of Live

A Little Bit of Live is a hot new show coming to CSU soon. That's right its going to be an hour and a half of gold. It’s on the June 19th, so its coming up. Everyone should go to the Tav to watch this great show. My role on the night is Sound assistance. To be honest it has been hard, as I had to learn the whole desk. It is a big desk with millions of buttons and functions. My sound supervisor was Pierre and together we are both coming to terms with the capabilities of the desk. One of the hardest part of sound is recording the band, mainly the drum kit, and getting quality sound to air. On the night I know I will be nervous as, as we can’t afford to make any mistakes and therefore I hope all our practice sessions will have kicked in by that stage. However I have more roles than just sound assistance for ‘A Little Bit of Live’. I have directed 2 pre-recorded segments, and edited 3 others. I feel that the 5 segments I have been involved with have turned out really well, especially the ones I edited as the camera shots we excellent and the director was really easy to work with. So they are the roles I have done for the live show, yeah I know it doesn’t really relate to MPI104 but its what I’ve been doing at uni for the past couple of weeks as a lot of my time has been consumes with ‘A Little Bit of Live’. I tell you what I can’t wait for the wrap party on Tuesday night.

Making my page look tops

To make my blog aestheically pleasing I needed to ensure the colours matched, for example the page was legible and the colours were co-ordinated. I decided I should research first and not trust my eyes, as my colour co-ordination may be not as good as I thought. So I was off to research to make my blog look great. I found a good website, a HTML colour code generator that enables me to match the colour scheme on my webpage. Pretty awesome. I could easily find out what colours match with one another, such as pink, blue, red or green, with one slide of my cursor. Yep all I had to do was slide the cursor on the primary colour generater and this smart little website gave me matching colours that I could use for my web page. After I found this website I was determined to find another. My belief was if I found a good site so easily surely there would be more out with even more information, and sure enough there was. Colour matching for web design had more functions on it. There was a colour wheel that gave me pretty much unlimited choice of colours, but I found it didn’t really help me in my cause just highlighted how many colours I had to choose from to make my page stand above the rest. Then I found a great link, an article on colour combination. This link gave me the meaning of colours, what they signified and most importantly for me what effect they had on screen. For those too lazy to go to the link I give you a brief overview of some of the colours. Check them out.

RED - Red tends to promote images and text, making objects appear larger and closer, though less than yellow coloured objects. Bright red can be annoying if used over large areas and is useful as a iconic colour to encourage people to act quickly eg. on buy or click here buttons. An apetite stimulant, red is useful for promoting products associated with energy ... drinks, cars, sports and games.

ORANGE - Orange backgrounds help images seem closer and larger, but avoid over use.Useful for highlighting important elements, promoting food products and toys.

BROWN - Brown is too low key if used broadly without texture or another color to enhance it. Useful for promoting food and outdoor products for work and play.

YELLOW - Yellow stimulates mental activity, generates muscle energy and attracts attention - it is the colour most visible to the human eye. Thus yellow objects move to the forefront. Cheerful yellow can be used to promote food especially in combination with other fruit and vegetable tones, children's and leisure products and is best used as a highlight. With overuse, yellow can be disturbing and promote anxiety.

GREEN - Images set in green backgrounds seem farther away.

BLUE - Blue does not require the eye to focus, images and objects recede in blue backgrounds. However an overuse can create feelings of cold. Although also popular with women, blue is the predominant favourite colour of males and is suited to web sites involving and promoting technology, medical products, cleanliness, air, sky, water, sea and automotives. Blue is the favourite colour of more than half of the world's people - it is the colour least disliked by most cultures. High impact designs can be created with combinations of blue, red and yellow. Combinations of light and dark blues can create feelings of trust.

BLACK - Black is an excellent technical colour and it assist targeting a sophisticated high-end market or a youth market to add mystery. Over a large area, black can be depressing. Though black backgrounds can enhance perspective and depth, they diminish legibilty of text. Useful for web sites for art and photography to help other colours to vibrate.

WHITE - All white rooms can be uncomfortable with a stark atmosphere. White is useful for a background or accent colour as it highlights other colours. White is perceived by the eye as a brilliant colour.

Those pesky fire alarms

Argh does any one else have those fire alarms that tend to go off at a drop of a hat. Today the alarms went off twice and both times there was no smoke in the air. What is going on? To makes matters worse when one decides to go crazy the others kick in, and there are 5 in the house, one in everybody’s room. I know that fire alarms are necessary and save lives and are one of the best things invented, but after all these false alarms what are we going to do when there is a real fire? Just sit in our room and hope the alarm stops when fire and smoke fill the house, then we get burnt to death. I know this sounds like a morbid post and I sound cynical about these but after awhile of these loud ear-piercing alarms screaming just above your ear it does get tiring. What was ironic was that we had security come round last night to check if our alarms were functioning and I think its been proven over the last couple of days as they have been going off at the drop of a hat. So in came security and set them off and we had to listen to the chilling sound once again for no smoke again. Even though I have ranted about these pesky fire alarms I am grateful we have them because our stove and oven is gas tops and I know how easily fires can start because I have put my spaghetti on fire as it has dipped into the burning flame. Wait don’t all flames burn? Yeah so my spaghetti was on fire and the fire alarms went off, so they did there job. And by the way in case your wondering, no I did not burn the house down I doused in just in time.

Technorati

When I first signed up to Technorati a couple of months ago I had no idea what this was. However upon research I have discovered it is not only a search engine for other peoples blogs, which many believe is similar to google in other aspects but Technorati offer much more. Technorati is capable of allowing the user to save favourites blogs and to get an update of your favourite blog entries. Technorati is a good ego booster if you have a high ranking and it is fun to compete with friends over your rank and authority. My authority is 9, this means that my blog has been linked 9 times by other people. My rank is pretty good and I have one of the highest out of my friends, 565 314. The rank is a measurement of your blog popularity, with 1 being the highest 565 314 seems far away but in comparison to the rest of the class its pretty close to the elusive number 1.

Form versus Content

Form versus content is the big question this week. What's more important when creating a website or blog, how it looks or what's in it. The form of the website catches the viewers eyes and makes the viewer read the page. However to keep the viewers attention the content needs to be interesting or newsworthy. Reading about someone’s day, from when they woke up, went to work, came home and then went to be would not keep the reader interested and therefore would leave the website. Aesthetic is a common phrase that tends to be used in the artist world. Art usually needs to be aesthetically pleasing to be successful.

When thinking of an aesthetically pleasing website that I constantly go to I think of my bookmarks, these pages are marked for content rather than form. Therefore finding a website I go to for form rather than content is harder that I originally thought. Therefore my initial thought of placing an importance of content over form is questioned. For a page to be successful in my eyes there needs to be easy access to relevant links, easy to read and have the right amount of information needed. I like my web pages being ordered. Information overload is one of the aspects I hate on a web page, I don’t want to read lines and lines of pages to find out something I could have read in 2 sentences.

I use the internet to search for information and stay in contact with friends and family. Therefore when researching an assignment or simply a release date for a movie or dvd I find a search engine on the website is the best way to find the appropriate material. Sites that fail to have a search engine frustrate me as I can never find the material I need quickly and therefore I end up searching another website. I often shop a Big W for they have the cheapest dvd’s but using the internet to find prices and availability is impossible. For a start they have no search, there links are hard to find and there is very little order to there website. However JB Hi-Fi is another cheap dvd retailer and there website is more user friendly. I am able to find the dvd I am after with a simply search, the price and the availability. Therefore I now will choose JB Hi-Fi over Big W when shopping simply because the internet has allowed me to know what’s in store.

An important factors of web design is the legibility of the content. The correct colour combination ensures legibility. Orange writing on a red background is near impossible to read, it is important for the designer to use colours that the viewers could read with the greatest ease. The speed of the page is also an important factor, a page which is slow to load will frustrate viewers and consequently will stop viewers from revisiting the site. These factors along with form and content are important to keep in mind when designing and constructing a successful web page. This is why I use the internet every day and will continue to do for a very long time.

XML and RSS

XML stands for Extensible Markup Language. XML is designed to describe data and to focus on what data is. At first i thougt it was the same as HTML but the difference is that XML is designed to describe date and to focus on what data is wheras HTML was designed to display data and to focus on how data looks. I am still trying to understand the difference between these two and there functions but i hope as time passes i will be able to use it more effectively as the term progresses. some othere details i discovered about XML is that tags are not predefined and the user (myself) must define their own tags. XML also uses a Document Type Definition (TDT) or an XML Schema to describe the data. This DTD or XML Schema is designed to be self-descriptive. i know sounds confusing with all those letters but we will figure them all out. just you watch with this space.

Okay moving on the the RSS. RSS or Rich Site Summary is a format for sydicating news and the content of news-like sites, including Wires, personal weblogs and news-orientated community sites. However RSS is not just for news, that's right. Pretty much anything that can be broken down into discrete items can be syndicated via RSS: for example the "recent changes" page of a wikipedia and the revision history of a book. Once information about each item is in RSS format, an RSS-aware program can check the feed for changes and react to the changes in an appropriate way. Wow that sounds complicated but i suppose i see RSS as a link page thats allows anyone to view the latest updates of any page. It's pretty handy and it really means the reader can be lazier. I'm loving that. My first contact with an RSS feed was through my delicious page but you can view it on crazy comet blog. check it out.

Okay the next step of this week was to subscribe to either Google Reader or Bloglines. A tough choice i must admit as i had no idea as to what they were or what magic they did. Upon researching i found using Google reader was easier as i already had an account in google, gmail account. Google reader also looked more user friendly therefore it got bonus points in my eyes.

The year so far

As the assessment is coming up I thought I might write about past term. When we first received our subject outline I thought the subject would be tiresome and I wouldn’t really enjoy it. Now my opinions have changed.

I have created a blog before for a tv class a couple of years ago. I thought I knew most things about blogger, but I have learnt how little I did know. Previously I hadn’t even touch the ‘customize’ button and played with the format and settings. I generally just typed my blog and posted it. One of the things I’m really glad I learnt was the html and the links to another page. Previously I would have just done the standard URL address but now I know the code to create the specific link and I’m lovin’ it. One of the hardest part for me was writing the actual blog, well writing something worthwhile and interesting. I tended to write about whatever happened to me recently or what I have just seen and liked, such as Robin Hood, The departed and some YouTube videos. There was really no order to my post just whatever pops into my head. Uploading a picture to my post made the blogs more interesting I felt and gave them character. It also allows other to get a visual understanding of my blog, for a picture tells a thousand words. I have also signed up for Technorati and placed a counter at the bottom of my page so I am able to view how many people have visited my blog. I have found creating a blog enjoyable and now I am pleased to have a greater understanding of blogger.

Delicious was one difficult for me in terms of posting interesting bookmarks. I usually only use about 5 or so websites, mainly Sydney Morning Herald and mycsu. I joined the network with the people in the workshop class and tried to save bookmarks that I liked and others might enjoy. Tagging the bookmarks where easier than I expected and I like having my computer ordered so bundling tags was ideal for me. I posted my flickr and blogger bookmark on delicious so others could have easy access to my site. Delicious was handy on a personal note so I could save all my favourites and it was just a click away to going to their site.

Flickr was the final stage in our assessment, all I had to do was upload pictures to the net. Simply. Well it wasn’t as easy as I thought. I realised that I don’t really have interesting photos to upload, my photos usually contain me and my friends nights out. I suppose there not that interesting to others but my friends. I have uploaded three groups: friends, swans and altered pictures. Flickr allowed me to comment on other people photos and I liked looking through there photos. Heaps more interesting than mine, such as bands and concerts. I wish I went to concerts then I could upload them I didn’t want to rip them off the net, so I was left with just pictures of me.

So that’s pretty much what I’ve been doing in MPI104 this year. I have to say I have enjoyed doing this just for the fact that I have leant some basic techniques of creating a web page. Hooray.

Robin Hood

The story of Robin Hood has been told many times, some directors have made a parody of the robin hood stories, Robin Hood Men in Tights. The BBC produced a 13 part Robin Hood airing on Sunday 7:30 ABC. Robin Hood is well scripted and acted. Robin Hood is based around Robin (Jonas Armstrong) who returns home from war in the Holy Land with a changed view on fairness and the value of human life. Robin stands up to the new corrupt sheriff and goes into hiding in the forest. It is in the forest he meets Little John and his gang and together they form their army to take on the Sheriff. Robin Hood is really well produced with good camera work and tight editing. This is one of the best shows I have seen in recent years, dare I say it better than Scrubs Everyone should watch it, it’s only got 10 episodes left so get moving.

World Cup

Wow the world cup is finally over. 2 months is a long time for any tournament, especially cricket, the games do last for up to 7 hours. As a cricket lover (a proud of it) I have loved the it, well most of it. It was filled with controversy, Bob Woolmer’s death, Pakistan and India not in the super 8, the length of the tournament and finally the world cup final itself. I can proudly say I watched the final, yep all 8 hours of it. It was a long game that went from midnight to 9am. I couldn’t miss the game, Australia has waited 4 years to be the worlds best again, to regain that trophy I was staying up and after all it was Glenn McGrath’s last game. The game was awesome, or should I say Adam Gilchrist was. “His maiden World Cup hundred will be mentioned in the same breath as previous final heroics from Clive Lloyd, the original master blaster, Viv Richards, Aravinda de Silva and Ponting himself.” The Sydney Morning Herald. His 149 off 104 balls will be spoken about for years to come and simply how good it was. I would love to say I saw every ball but sadly I did fall asleep for bout 20 minutes. I fell asleep when Gilchrist was on about 30, batting well and woke up bout half an hour later with the news that he was 8 runs away from a century. He must have exploded and just went crazy with 4 and 6’s everywhere. Why did I fall asleep? I made sure I didn’t fall asleep anymore and watched the rest of the match. I will always remember the 2007 world cup final as Gilchrist’s amazing century and Glenn McGrath’s last game. Congrats Australia

Holidays?

When I was a school kid holidays used to be the best thing ever - no school. life was pretty good you got to lie around the house, sleep in, watch television all day and night, go shopping, go to the movies, really the list goes on. holidays were a time to enjoy. Why did this change? These days holidays don’t exist they are simply are break from doing one thing to move to do something else. Take uni holidays for example, I leaves with 2 assignments to do over the holidays, one due first day back, on top of that I have a job to go back to so I can actually eat the next term, and it’s good to see some friends that I haven’t seen for a good 2 months. With working, study and a social life it’s hard to find time to sleep in, watch tv from morning to night, lie on the couch with no worries. However there is always an upside to these ‘holidays’ I do see my friends and family, one assignment down not many left and I do have money (which is really helpful). So yes my holidays are busy and gone are the days of relaxing but I suppose I wouldn’t change a thing.

Scrubs

In my opinion Scrubs is one the best show ever. I think it’s fair to say that I’ve seen every episode at least 3 times. Scrubs is easy to watch and now in season 6 with rumours going around that it will be its last season. It’s a shame for this show to end but if I’m honest it has started to be going down hill for a season or 2. The first couple of season was so unique to any other show, we followed JD through the hospital. We saw Turk and his friendship and their crazy antics, JD and Elliot’s on and off love affair, Dr Cox ‘teaching’ JD and the janitor tormenting JD. One of the major changes over the seasons is the appearance of the janitor, initially he was only in a couple of scenes with JD with a couple of lines which was usually ad-libbed but this has changed with the janitor having a more prominent and scripted role. This scripting has lost scrubs some of its randomness. Here’s a good drinking game for scrubs, I know you wanna play it.

Reservoir Dogs

I have heard a lot about Quentin Tarantino, Reservoir Dogs, heard it was gruesome, violent, filled with names like Mr Pink,Mr Orange etc. I was intrigued and I wanted to watch it. What type of movies name there characters Mr Pink, weird I know. As I was saying I wanted to see this movie and I saw it for $6 at a Video Ezy store so yeah I bought it. It actually took me a couple of days to watch the movie for I felt I had to be the right mood for a violent film. When I finally watch the movie I loved it. There where some times when I had to look away but in general I really liked this movie and I’m glad I bought it. So anyone out there that is hesitant about watching Reservoir Dogs don’t be, its actually really good. Here’s a script rundown of the movie for those movie buffs who want to read it. if you want to read another opinion I found you a good review.

The Departed

The Departed is one of the best movies I have seen in recent years. It had it all action, drama, a good story and hot boys. The Martin Scorsese films takes place in Boston, Massachusetts, where Irish mob boss Frank Costello (Jack Nicholson) implants Colin Sullivan(Matt Damon) as an informant within the Massachusetts State Police. Simultaneously, the police assign Billy Costigan (Leonardo DiCaprio) to infiltrate Costello's crew. When both sides of the law realise the situation, the two men are dispatched to discover each other's identities. ‘The Departed’ has an all-star cast with the likes of Leonardo DiCaprio, Matt Damon, (Mark Wahlberg) and (Martin Sheen). With a core cast like this it’s hard to imagine the movie being a flop. Here’s a preview of ‘The Departed’ if you haven’t seen you should.

Sherbies no more

As a typical uni student I tend to only buy the food we need, home brand style, rather than the food we want. So it was yesterday when I realised that I was running on empty and needed to restock my fridge and cupboard if I wanted to continue eating for the week. My housemates and I decided we would actually cook a proper dinner for once, which we have failed to do regularly this year. So off we went to town in search for food.
When we shop we have to start at the fruit and vegies. We tried to shop in reverse and failed miserably so we learnt our lesson that we can’t change something if it aint broke. Anyway as I was saying we got the usuals vegies for stir-fries, meat and bread – you know the staple diet. Thank goodness we had a shopping list with us or else we’d be sure to forget a necessity. As we moved up the store we knew our favourite isle was approaching – the confectionary isle. I was looking forward to this isle because I suddenly had a craving for sherbies. sherbies lollies When I was young they were always my junk food I took on school camp. So I was going to buy them however my heart was broken when one of my housemates she heard they don’t produce sherbies anymore. sherbies I was floored, how could they do this? What where I to buy now? Millions of thoughts ran through my head. I wanted to prove her wrong so I kept on looking, and sadly she was right, they were no where to be seen. What was I to do? That’s right look for a suitable alternative, my eyes focussed on skittles. skittles Another standard snack that got me through those horrid meals on school camps. But there was another choice I had to make. A choice that I didn’t have to make 5 years ago, skittles decided to produce another flavour – wild berry. In knew this was an important decision. Should I buy the stock standard skittles, the red packet or branch out and purchase the new wild berry skittles. I decided to throw caution in the wind and buy the wild berry. So my decision was made wild berry skittles was my snack food for the week. I was happy with this choice, however this came at a price of learning sherbies were off the shelf for good. Who thought shopping could be so devastating. In closing I’ll leave with a ‘Murphy’s Law’ – If it seems to good to be true, it probably is. murphy's law-

Sandy
p.s i am yet to decide if wild berry was a good choice but i do know green is not so good.
